Covering up a mistake...
So, today's task was to gift wrap the birthday present for V. I searched around the house and found only 5 rolls of Christmas wrapping paper. I agonized between the need to go buy wrapper paper versus my laziness to get dressed and leave the house. Suddenly, I had a light bulb moment. No one really care for the wrapper anyways. What if I use the back side of the Christmas paper?! Re-purpose, save money, and don't have to leave the house. Yeah! So, I got going with the wrapping of the present. Except, I didn't clean my table from the previous project and ended up with a big o' ink smudge right in the middle of the package. Grrr.... While I fumed away at my carelessness, I had another bright moment. Maybe, I can just cover the inky spot with a strip of pattern paper! Yeah! So, in my haste to get the strip of paper on the packaging, I cut up the paper without measuring. And of course, the paper strip is too short. Why do I never learn? Measure twice, cut once. Grrr.... I don't want to throw away my work and waste time and material. So, I decided what I need is more coverage. How about a piece of scrap from another project to cover up the gap! Yeah! And a chipboard letter will finish up nicely. Without further ado, unveiling...drum roll...Project Wrapping!
