The art of burping a baby
Kirdan is one gassy baby. Early on, we thought he was swallowing air because of formula in combination with the nipple shield (SNS). But then, once we switched him over to direct breast feeding, the problem did not go away. The symptom? Excessive arching of his back, crying/fussing, and spitting up. We have gone to the length of different massage methods, frequent burping, and smaller but frequent feeding schedule. We got worried when he started puking up solid milk and clear liquid. Our pediatrician prescribed Zantac because she thought Kirdan may have mild gastroesophageal reflux. I am hoping it will help Kirdan be more comfortable.
