Goal accomplished: My first ever Half Marathon!

So very proud of myself. Before this year, the only other time I ran even just one mile was in High School PE class, which is like 16 years ago. :O

So my stat:
Event: Run SF Marathon 2007
Total distance: 13.1 miles
Total time: 2:37:23 (race pace 12 min 01s per mile)
Time at 7.4 miles: 1:32:04 (race pace 12min 07s per mile)
Placed 1623th (out of 2016 2nd half marathoners within 3:30:00 qualifying time)

Still can't believe I did it!

Some tidbits:
4250 full marathoners
4824 1st half marathoners
2050 2nd half marathoners
923 5K runners

1st place full marathon finish: 2:25:57 (5 min 34s pace)
1st place 1st half marathon finish: 1:18:23 (5 min 59s pace)
1st place 2nd half marathon finish: 1:08:05 (5 min 12s pace)

Some after thoughts...
Wished I could've trained harder for a faster pace.
Lucky for me A was also training, gave me a couple good long distance runs prior to the real marathon
4 min run/1 min walk is a great way to go. I stuck to the routine throughout the race.
July in SF is a great time and place to run the marathon. The weather was cool but not too cold. The course was challenging and beautiful.
I can see how people get addicted to this. A wonderful sense of accomplishment! :)
